Had to share a little humor found on HarperStudio’s blog, “The 26th Story.” My favorite line, of course, is in the last frame: “Book works with the shelves you have at home.”
After all the sturm und drang surrounding ebooks in the publishing and bookselling world this winter, it has been a great relief to find that–at least so far–our customers really aren’t interested. When I mention Kindle to some of them, they say: “What’s a Kindle?” Music to my ears. When I give it to them to play with, they try it for a minute but hand it back dismissively.
Moral of the story? My husband is right again: I worry too much. Looks like bookselling will stick around for at least a little bit longer.
